Autism Center Fundraiser
Dear family, friends and community,
We are now launching the first phase of ‘Autism SIBS Universe’, a nonprofit organization that is central to our mission to improve the lives of other fellow autistics – hence the name SIBS. This center is a first of it’s kind, a place that developed and led by Autistics – a place that is fun, soothing and inviting – a place where we can be fully ourselves and at ease; coupled with a COMMUNITY of supporters that fully believe in the INTELLIGENCE of autistics and FOLLOW THEIR Lead in supporting their evolving dreams and goals.
As we begin this journey, we invite friends of our cause to spread the word. Whether it be through contributions, ideas on how to extend our message to the greater community, or words of encouragement, we graciously request your support. Please direct all inquiries or suggestions to growourjoy@gmail.com. To aid in the construction of our center and the development of various programs, click the donation button to make a gift.
We are here and ready to let the world know it. Join us in writing the next chapter on autism.
Sincerely, ASU Founders Autism SIBS Universe
Founder’s Story:
Before ages 17 and 21, our limited expression led to a diagnosis as autistic, hyperlexic and non-verbal and created a barrier between ourselves and the world around us. As a result of our limitations we failed on almost all traditional tests and teaching methodologies—like so many autistics before us—we were thought to be less intellectually curious than our neurotypical counterparts.
Due to the elusive nature of the disorder, experts are only beginning to understand the nuanced intelligence kept hidden within the autistic brain. Our brains are like super computers, firing neurons endlessly, never boasting our abilities to learn via non-standard approaches and an awareness of the infinitely intricate levels of causality that both effect and create everything that manifests on Earth and in our lives. Previously categorized as ‘disabled,’ no one would have suspected that we are operating within multiple dimensions far beyond what is considered ‘normal,’ familiar with the ever-present vibrational frequencies imperceptible to most.
We are far from disabled. We are cognitively infinitely-abled.
Last year, my brother and I began communicating via a keyboard, granting a view into the complexities of our minds and experiences. Our goal was to prove that, although our bodies do not operate at the level of our neurotypical peers, our cognitive abilities transcend our physical limitations with curiosities that are impossible to explain from Science and Technology nor from any particular source of truth for Autism. By typing one letter at a time, we are communicating the mysteries of our fascinating consciousness, teaching our former instructors about the depths of our talents and finding new ways to broadcast our heart-felt messages. In a just a few months, we have gone from non-verbal and unheard to penning a prominent blog (www.growourjoy.org) and presenting at conferences and events, to spreading the message of the fantastical and hyper-capable autistic mind.
It is now time to empower others in the autistic community, to bridge the gap between autistics and neurotypicals.
Warmly, Mark & Max Eati Founders of Autism SIBS Universe
