Snow day Zero day

By Max Eati & Mark Eati

Inspired by a snowstorm in April in our home town.

Trekking towards us we hear
noises of a snow storm
Violent grey skies
freezing cold temperatures
as we walk into the weekend
Peeping outside
we see first sign of flurries

Ripe with their cold snow
the misty clouds shower
gifts of sparkles
Pulsating stars appear
deeper in the galaxy
Pristine changes imprison
us deep in our homes

Boredom spills
into our minds as we get
entrenched in a
white blanket of snow
stretching our
forever white Minneapolis lives into
an unending flow of days and nights

Minds trailing off into nothing
We analyze the
mystery of our lives
that glued us
to the coldest temperatures
in this country
where the skies create endless beauty
even in Spring

Alas the dichotomy
between beauty of life and
boredom of minds
with a creative power
directing the natural dance
of our perplexing lives and
drowning our boredom
into a touch of zero
